WHO ARE WE?
Welcome to the website/blog of Asociación Cultural Atalaya Vigía, an association that was born from fans and friends of wargames, miniature board games and freaks in general.
Since 2004 it has been constituted as an association, starting with about 10 members. Currently we are more than 80. The association and its members have evolved since its beginnings, adapting to different forms of leisure and being constantly open to the evolution of the hobby. We love miniature wargames, modeling, painting… but we also have board games, role-playing games and hold other related activities.
WHAT’S THE CLUB LIKE?
We started in a place of about 50m2 in Fray Luis Urbano corner with Monasterio de la Oliva. Since we quickly reached about 30 members we moved to Espronceda 5 where we have remained for about 8 years, in a 130m2 place where the club consolidated and grew in such a way that in May 2018 we were able to inaugurate a new place in Tomás Higuera 8, with 240sqm of space, totally conditioned for the comfort of the members, and with a perfect distribution for the different activities that are held in the club, such as painting workshops, tournaments. It also has larger and more comfortable areas to play wargames and board games.
HOW DOES THE CLUB WORK?
The club depends on the members, so it is maintained on the basis of its monthly dues which are 15€. This allows us to have a large and well-equipped facility open 24 hours a day (each member has a key), and to face the various expenses arising from its maintenance, as well as the acquisition of new material for the use of members. You can also rent lockers to store your games and miniatures.
We usually meet on Friday afternoons and evenings, but you can always find someone playing some other time.
WHY BECOME A PARTNER?
To dispose of an ample local totally conditioned of more than 240m2.
It’s open 24/7, so that each member can make the most of their free time.
Since we are more than 80 members there are always people willing to play any game.
We are very active people who organize events related to the hobby.
We have a large workshop area, with airbrush zone.
2 rooms for playing board games or just for low-noise environments.
We have a very wide range of scenery for any game, era or scale.
We also have a library and playroom at the service of members.
We are a community of players, with a great atmosphere and we love to meet new people who share our hobbies.
